Like many patients she now treats, Dr. Angela suffered from hay fever for years before she realized that her symptoms didn’t have to be part of her everyday life. Her primary care doctor referred her to an allergist after an episode of hives and the experience changed her life.
The allergist performed tests to get to the bottom of what was happening, and once diagnosed she received immunotherapy shots that improved her symptoms greatly and gave Dr. Angela her life back. Ever since then, she’s known that she wanted to offer the same kind of comfort and support that her allergist provided to her. She knows firsthand how it feels to have allergies keep you from enjoying the beautiful world around you, and as a result has become an empathetic doctor who always takes the time to listen to your needs.
Dr. Angela earned her medical degree from University of Texas Medical Branch-Galveston, completed her Internal Medicine residency at University of Tennessee Health Science Center-Memphis, and gained specialized training in Allergy/Immunology during her fellowship at UTHSC-Memphis. Dr. Angela combines knowledge with compassion, and she is proud to offer allergy and asthma relief for patients in Wylie.
